Open House

We went yesterday here in Hemet. My only complaint the old teacher of my son was there. It was fun though. Dexter won the "grand prize" a teddy bear with a CAVA shirt on it, he also got a Frisbee and a CAVA cup. How was everyone else's open house?

Ah

Well yesterday was an all day affair. Dexter just wanted to keep on keeping on. He amazes me a lot. I am hoping that next year Joaquin will be cooperative. I already know they have different learning styles, we at least I can be prepared for that.
Dexter still struggles writing neatly. It is almost always illegible. I have to make him re-write stuff. His PS teacher last year really think it is because he thinks faster than his hand can write.

What a week

We accomplished a lot. Sometimes though with D is seems as though we can't go more than a day without some sort of meltdown. He is frustrated that he is learning baby stuff. HE wants to know why he has to review things that he has learned once. He retains well. I am beginning to wonder if he falls somewhere in the spectrum that J is in; maybe Asperger's. He asked recently why he can not just go to college because school is so boring. Anyone else have a kid like this?

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in the K12 community. When you join, please remember that because we will talk about our children to lock your posts to Friends Only. You might also consider using your children's first initial instead of their first name. While no one can totally prevent those crafty internet hackers, we can do our part to keep our children and our privacy safe. This is not a requirement, just a suggestion.
